Sited on The Sands this Christmas will be Chipperfield’s Fabulous 1200-seat Heated Theatre Big Top where Peter Pan will take flight from 16th Dec 2011 to 2nd Jan 2012.

Children of all ages from 3 to 103 are sure to feel Warm and Welcome when the Enchantment begins as they enter the twinkling lights-bedecked Panto-Themed Foyer and are greeted personally by Fairy Tinkerbell and Ludwig the Storyteller. These fabulous characters will be happy to answer any questions you have about the production and to discuss your favourite fairytales.

Other facilities include tiered seating, state of the art sound systems and stage lighting, customer toilets (located close to the Big Top Theatre) and the sale of Tea, Coffee, Biscuits, Sweets, Popcorn, Donuts, Candyfloss, Soft Drinks and Pantomime Souvenirs and Souvenir Programmes. Please Note: A Licensed Bar is not available.

Jack McMullen

As Peter Pan

Jack is best known for appearing on our screens as Finn Sharkey in Waterloo Road for the last two years.  Over Christmas you will see him in the lead role of Freddie in ITV’s drama Fast Freddie with Laurence Fox. This year saw Jack appearing in his first film, Seamonsters (9 Fish Productions).  He has also appeared on TV in Casualty (BBC), The Forgotten Fallen (Hardy Pictures), Moving On (BBC), Proper Messy (BBC), Doctors (BBC), The Bill (ITV/ Talkback Thames), The Street (BBC), Casualty (BBC), Grange Hill (Regular – Lime Pictures), Brookside (Regular – Mersey TV). Jack’s theatre credits include  If These Walls Could Talk (Madhatters). During his time in Brookside Jack won the British Soap award for Best Newcomer and Best on Screen Partnership.  He also won the Royal Television Society Award for Best Performance in a Network Soap.

Pee Wee Price

Pee Wee is a versatile, talented comic performer who has established a professional career in the entertainment industry for nearly 25 years. His powerful voice, original impressions and superb comedy, coupled with a wicked sense of humour, have brought him great acclaim within the industry and he has performed to thousands of people and making them laugh – a role he was simply born for. He is also an actor, comedy writer & voiceover artiste. With his infamous “Lip Wobble”, cheeky humour and “Big Wet Kiss!” Pee Wee has spent the last seven pantomime seasons taking the North East by storm and now considers the region his second home, especially as it is where he met and proposed to his lovely wife Emma.

Charlotte Dawson

As Tiger Lily

It was inevitable that sooner or later the daughter of comedic legend Les Dawson would tread the boards. Now 19 years old, Charlotte was just a baby when the Nation’s beloved Les left the spotlight in 1993. Charlotte lives at home with Mum Tracy in Lytham St. Annes and her lovely doggie Lucy. Tracy has guided her daughter’s career and Charlotte is currently pursuing her dream to be a presenter, having already forged a career for herself as a model, most recently appearing in The Daily Mail, Telegraph, The Mirror, OK, Hello, The Mail on Sunday, The Sunday Times, The Sun and The Michael Ball Show. Charlotte is delighted to be working in Durham, having made her pantomime debut in Consett last Christmas and is very fond of the North East as her father worked in the region a lot and loved the people there.

Jon Carver

As Captain Hook

Since leaving The Oxford School of Drama in 1999, Jon has gone on to develop an impressive CV working mainly in Television and Film, with much encouragement from his partner Carol. TV credits include: The Peter Principle (BBC), The Bill (ITV), Eastenders (BBC), Casualty (BBC), Bad Girls (Shed Productions/ITV), Jericho (Granada), The Commander (BBC) and Doctors (BBC) where he played for 11 years as Sargent Vic Scott. Film includes: Going Off Big Time, Tormented (Warner Bros/Pathe) and 3 Stags. Theatre includes: Capulet in Romeo & Juliet, Little John in Robin Hood, Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing, Toby Belch in Twelfth Night and Lord Augustus in Lady Windermere’s Fan. Jon is delighted to be making his Pantomime debut as Mr Darling and the villainous Captain Hook, in this spectacular production of Peter Pan.n.

 

Sarah Brown

As Wendy Darling

Sarah is delighted to take to the skies once more as Wendy Darling. An accomplished leading lady of pantomime, she has played various principal girls over the last ten years, including title roles Cinderella and The Little Mermaid, Princess Jasmine in Aladdin, Alice Fitzwarren in Dick Wittington, Jill in Jack and the Beanstalk, and Wendy Darling in Peter Pan at The Beck Theatre in London. Sarah’s career has included roles in original musicals and soundtracks, production tours, fringe festivals, film and theatre, cruise ships, presenting on radio, stage and screen and live cabaret. Last year Sarah played Sid Phillips in Walt Disney and Pixars’ Toy Story: The Musical, in the USA. 2012 will see Sarah continue to record the voice of Lucy in the fourth series of Bear in the Woods, and to sail the Pacific Ocean as the principal vocalist aboard The Costa Victoria.

Emma-Louise Bennett

As Mrs Darling

Originally from Lancashire, Emma trained at Italia Conti in London, graduating from the 3yr BA (Hons) in Acting with a 1st.  Performances include: Plenka in Willy & Rupert (Bridewell Theatre, London), Betty in Piccadilly Jim (Universal), Tessie Bear in Noddy Live! (UK Arena Tour), Witch in Macbeth, Fairy in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Nurse in Romeo & Juliet (UK No.1 Theatre Tour), Presenter on Thomson Celebration (Thomson Cruises), Mrs Darling in Peter Pan (Gala Theatre, Durham), Fairy Beansprout in Jack & the Beanstalk (Al Ghurair Centre, Dubai), Fairy Snowflake in Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, Slave of the Ring in Aladdin (Empire Theatre, Consett) and Mrs Overall in Acorn Antiques the Musical! (Lowther, Lytham).  Emma also works as a Producer, Director, Voiceover Artiste, and occasionally performs her Spotlight Cabaret around venues in the North West.n.

Adam Curtis

As Cut-throat Jake

Adam trained at Liverpool Theatre School and after graduating won the role of John Ward in Heartbeat for Yorkshire Television. On Stage Adam has performed in Oklahoma, Hello Dolly, The UK Tours of Ken Dodd’s The Happiness Show, and Stardust. His many roles in pantomime include The Genie, Emperor and Detective Ping in Aladdin, The Royal Tax Collector in Snow White, Lord Chamberlain in Sleeping Beauty and understudying the main roles of Prince in Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, all for Pantoni Pantomimes. Off stage he has worked as Musical Associate, Assistant Dance Captain, Deputy Stage Manager and Production Manager. For the last three years Adam has been working abroad in such locations as Dubai, Lanzarote and Egypt, and this year worked in Tenerife in a 5-star plus hotel as part of the resident production cast.
